We have an urgent opportunity for PHP/Magento Support Developer with Dentsu World Services

Role: PHP/Magento Support Developer

Location: Pune

Experience: 2+ years

Role Description

Refactor, optimize and improve the existing codebase for maintenance and scale

Use test driven development and acceptance tests to ensure feature quality

Interface with customer and internal teams to gather requirements and develop software solutions

Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues

Document the development process, architecture, and standard components

Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff

Mandate for the Role

2+ years of experience with LAMP stack: Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP

Strong knowledge of PHP 7.x+, PHP web frameworks such as Laravel, Yii, etc

Understanding of MVC design patterns, MVC implementation and object-oriented PHP programming

Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and PHP.

Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)

Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS).

Experience in any of the following technologies will be added advantage

Magento, E-Commerce solutions, WordPress, Drupal, Joomla

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Open to learn new technologies and ecommerce solutions.

Experience troubleshooting web application and performance issues.

Ability to analyze/extrapolate issues via logs and other sources of information to provide infrastructure and application teams a good starting point for in depth reviews.

Strong knowledge of the Linux command line.

Relational database skills: Familiarity with MySQL and database queries.

Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as PHP, Node.js, Perl, Java and Python.

Familiarity of Magento Commerce, or any other eCommerce Platforms (Support, Site Development or QA role).

Proficient in technical problem-solving methodologies.

Excellent (oral and written) communication skills in English.
